Microsoft certifications

Certilum covers 21 Microsoft certifications, at Associate, Expert, Specialty level. Each one lists the official exam format, the number of questions, the time limit and the domains with their weights.

Yes — 877 questions across the 21 certifications, each with the correct answer and a written explanation, organised by the official exam domains. No account is needed to read them.

On our measured scale, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) scores 3.1 out of 10 for difficulty. The score combines how many questions are multi-select, how many are scenario-length, and how deep the explanations are. If you want volume rather than difficulty, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate has the largest bank, with 44 questions.

We have the published price for 21 of the 21 certifications. Prices change by region and by provider, so the exact figure is on each certification's exam cost page, sourced from the vendor's own pricing page.

It varies by exam, and the table below shows the published format for each one: question count, time limit, passing score and number of domains. Where a vendor does not publish a passing score, the cell says so rather than showing a number we cannot source.

Start from the role you want, not the vendor. Within Microsoft the options sit across Data & Analytics, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence & ML, Project & Product Management, Infrastructure & Networking. After that, compare the exam format and the domain weights: the heaviest domain is where the pass is decided, and the difficulty score tells you how demanding the questions in each certification actually are.
