Exam Rules

1. Session Environment and Conduct

  • Individual Effort: All exams and mini-tests must be completed strictly on an individual basis. The use of third-party assistance, live forums, or screen sharing during an active session invalidates the purpose of the assessment.
  • Prohibition of External Tools: The use of automated scripts, browser extensions that inject answers, or the concurrent use of Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to solve questions is strictly prohibited. The platform's goal is to measure your knowledge, not the capabilities of an AI.
  • Capture and Distribution of Questions: Reaffirming our Terms of Service, taking screenshots, recording the session on video, or mass copying/pasting question text for external distribution is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension.

2. Evaluation Mechanics and Scoring

  • Time Limits: Exam sessions operate under strict time limits (either per-question or globally, depending on the mode). Once the timer expires, the exam will be automatically submitted.
  • Unanswered Questions: If the time expires or you submit the exam prematurely, all unanswered questions will automatically be recorded as "Not Answered" and will consequently be scored as incorrect. There is no additional penalty for guessing, but leaving a question blank guarantees a failure for that specific item.
  • Adaptive Grading and Readiness Target: The platform utilizes algorithms to adjust difficulty levels and calculate your readiness status (e.g., progressing from "Novice" to "Master"). Intentionally manipulating the system (e.g., purposely failing to lower the difficulty level) distorts metrics and violates the spirit of the platform.

3. Interruptions and Session Stability

  • Connection Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection. If you close the browser, refresh the browser during an active session, or lose connection for an extended period, the ongoing session may be lost or partially submitted, negatively affecting your final score.
  • Pauses: If the specific exam configuration allows pausing (e.g., in practice modes), you must use the official pause function provided in the interface. Abandoning the screen without pausing will continue to consume the remaining time.
  • System Outages: In the rare event that a verifiable failure on Certilum's servers interrupts an exam, the affected session may be voided and will not negatively impact your progress metrics.

4. Penalties and Result Invalidation

  • Session Invalidation: If our system detects anomalous response patterns (e.g., answering complex questions in milliseconds repeatedly), session anomalies, or any violation of these rules, we reserve the right to invalidate that specific exam session.
  • Readiness Revocation: If a session is invalidated, your progress metrics will be automatically recalculated. This may result in a downgrade of your achieved readiness levels and the temporary revocation of any associated public credentials.
