Everything the official exam blueprint specifies: question count, time limit, scoring and the weight each domain carries. The TOGAF 9 Foundation certification provides a comprehensive introduction to the Open Group Architecture Framework. It validates that a candidate possesses a fundamental understanding of the TOGAF standard, including the Architecture Development Method (ADM), the Enterprise Continuum, and the essential components of the Architecture Content Framework. This exam ensures that architects can communicate using a standardized vocabulary and understand the structural components required to design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise information technology architectures effectively within a professional environment.

Passing score60% — TOGAF 9 Part 1 Exam (the exam for TOGAF 9 Foundation): "Pass score: 60% (24 out of 40 questions)" and "The pass mark is 60% (24 or more questions out of a maximum of 40)" (official TOGAF Examinations datasheet, copyright 2023-2025). CONFLICT: in the TOGAF 9 Combined Part 1 and Part 2 exam the Part 1 section pass mark is "55%, which means 22 or more points out of maximum of 40 points", and the Open Group's Credly badge text for TOGAF 9 Foundation still says 55%.

The heaviest domain is Enterprise Continuum at 15%, and that is where lost points cost you the most. Certilum scores you per domain so you can see the difference between a knowledge gap and a formatting problem.

Note from the vendor record: Active and not renamed: still "TOGAF 9 Foundation" (Level 1) with body of knowledge "TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2"; The Open Group's certification portfolio now also includes credentials built on the "TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition" (TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation/Practitioner), but the TOGAF 9 Foundation credential itself was not retired or renamed. Prerequisites: None. Renewal: none — certification duration is indefinite and does not expire (no recertification requirements). Caveat: official sources conflict on the Foundation pass mark (60% standalone Part 1 vs 55% in combined exam/Credly badge), so record 60% for the standalone Foundation exam with the 55% combined-exam note.
