Note from the vendor record: TA-004 (exam version '004') is the current HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate exam, testing Terraform 1.12; it replaces the 003 version with four added objectives (4f, 4g, 4h, 8c) plus HCP Terraform content, and holders of 002/003 credentials must pass 004 to recertify once their current credential nears expiry. HashiCorp's certification knowledge base states 'We do not publish our passing scores at this time' and neither the exam page nor the knowledge base publishes a question count, so the commonly quoted 70% pass mark and ~57-question count are unverified. Prerequisites are basic terminal skills and understanding of on-premises and cloud architecture; the credential expires 2 years after issuance, with recertification eligible 18 months after earning it. Associate purchases cover a single appointment (7-day wait between attempts, max 4 attempts per rolling 365 days); www.hashicorp.com/certification/terraform-associate redirects to this developer.hashicorp.com page (429 rate-limited when rechecked).
