Certified GitOps Associate (CGOA) Exam Format

CGOA

Everything the official exam blueprint specifies: question count, time limit, scoring and the weight each domain carries. The Certified GitOps Associate (CGOA) certification is designed to validate a professional's foundational understanding of GitOps methodologies within cloud-native environments. As organizations shift towards more automated, reliable, and scalable deployment models, GitOps has emerged as a critical discipline. This exam assesses the candidate's ability to recognize GitOps terminology, apply core principles such as declarative state and continuous reconciliation, and understand the architectural patterns that distinguish GitOps from traditional CI/CD workflows. It covers the essential role of version control systems and the tooling required to implement automated synchronization between the desired state in Git and the actual state in a cluster, typically Kubernetes. By passing this exam, candidates demonstrate they possess the necessary conceptual framework to participate in modern DevOps and Platform Engineering teams.
