Certification bodies publish the passing score, not the percentage of candidates who pass. For the CompTIA CySA+ the published cut score is 83%. What that means: the exam is scaled so that 83% is the line, and your raw number of correct answers is converted to a scaled score against it.

On a 85-question exam at a 83% cut score, roughly 14 answers can be wrong. Treat that as the floor, not the target: aim well above it in mocks, because the real exam weights domains differently to a flat mock.
