Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (ENARSI) Exam Format

300-410

Everything the official exam blueprint specifies: question count, time limit, scoring and the weight each domain carries. Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (ENARSI) is the concentration exam for the CCNP Enterprise certification and for the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation. It validates the knowledge and skills required to configure, verify, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise network environments that use advanced routing protocols and VPN technologies. Candidates are expected to understand routing protocol redistribution, route filtering, route summarization, BGP path manipulation, MPLS LDP, VRFs, and policy-based routing. The exam also covers DMVPN, IPsec, and FlexVPN implementations; infrastructure security mechanisms such as ACLs, uRPF, CoPP, AAA, and IPv6 First Hop Security; and infrastructure services including DHCP, QoS, NetFlow, SNMP, syslog, Embedded Event Manager, IP SLA, and object tracking. The exam uses scenario-based questions that emphasize real-world troubleshooting and operational decision making. Passing the exam demonstrates that an engineer can handle complex routing challenges, secure both the control plane and the data plane, and ensure reliable delivery of network services. It is optimized for professionals who already have CCNA-level knowledge and who want to advance their careers as senior network engineers, implementation engineers, and network architects.

The heaviest domain is VPN Technologies at 20%, and that is where lost points cost you the most. Certilum scores you per domain so you can see the difference between a knowledge gap and a formatting problem.

Note from the vendor record: Active, current version v1.1 (v1.0 last date to test 19 September 2023; v1.1 first date to test 20 September 2023 per Cisco's official Certification Exam Topics page; a July 2025 v1.1 blueprint PDF is the current published exam topics). It is a CCNP Enterprise concentration exam: passing it earns Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, and CCNP Enterprise requires this plus the 350-401 ENCOR core exam (Prerequisites listed as None on the exam page - the ENCOR core requirement is a certification, not exam, prerequisite). Recertification: valid 3 years, renewal via Continuing Education credits or by retaking exams; results within 48 hours. Caveat: legacy-style cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/... exam URLs (e.g. .../exams/current/300-410-enarsi.html) return 404 (verified); no retirement announcement found on official pages.
